Current Positions Available

Marketing Assistant/Graphic Designer

Assists VP Marketing and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that allow for the successful development, completion, and tracking of planned marketing programs and campaigns. Have the ability to create and coordinate written content and graphic design for marketing materials and advertisements. Have exceptional communication skills for written, graphical, or oral communication and the ability to represent the credit union with public speaking or staff presentations.

Essential Functions
  1. Create and coordinate content, headlines, and calls-to-action for marketing materials and advertisings in compliance with internal writing standards.
  2. Create and coordinate graphic design for marketing materials and advertisements in compliance with internal branding guidelines.
  3. Oversees internal and external production of printed marketing materials.
  4. Coordinate and produce web graphics with internal web team.
  5. Manage Members 1st Credit Union social media sites.
  6. Help arrange, set up, conduct, and take down marketing events at branches and within the community.
  7. Create and run reports for promotions and tracking marketing performance.
  8. Assist with media contacts and relations on behalf of Members 1st Credit Union.
  9. Create news, blogs, notifications, and press releases for distribution to media contacts, members, and community.
  10. Design and produce marketing materials/promotions for targeted products and services.
  11. Review and proof marketing materials for accuracy and completeness.
  12. Maintain inventory of marketing material supplies. Determine when to reorder and place orders to replenish inventories at all branch locations.
  13. Audit marketing channels for accuracy and completeness.
  14. Create, edit, and coordinate digital marketing campaigns and advertisements.
  15. Attends occasional early morning “all staff required” trainings and meetings.
  16. Reports for duty as scheduled.
  17. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  1. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  2. Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. General skills applicable to this position include:
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with credit union staff as well as members. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information and marketing strategies.
  • Strong computer skills consistent with requirements for graphic design and promotion tracking as stated above.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizations skills.
  • Must possess a valid California Drivers License.
  • Must have excellent grammar and proof reading skills.
Must pass pre-employ drug test and background screens, which includes a credit check.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Direct and manage all practices and activities in quality control, auditing, record keeping, and accounting activities of the credit union to ensure compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations.  Ensure auditing, accounting, and recordkeeping activities of the credit union meet generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP).  Make recommendations relating to budget preparation, income forecasts, and operational changes as needed. 

Essential Functions
  1. Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies and procedures. Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current regulations and are communicated to and implemented by subordinates.
  2. Directly or through subordinates, oversee and manage the financial functions of the credit union. This includes:  ALM, AP, Accounts Receivable, budgets, GL, financial analysis, financial reporting and recordkeeping, investments, payroll, and taxes.
  3. Participate in determining deposit and loan rates.
  4. Provide guidance and recommendations regarding investment decisions.
  5. Assist with lease negotiation and major purchasing decisions.
  6. Serve as a co-trustee of the credit union’s pension plan.
  7. Assist in analysis of new branch site locations and closing of existing branches.
  8. Develop and implement credit union fiscal plans and policies.
  9. Assist in the preparation and implementation of the budget for the credit union that is consistent with the overall strategic plan.
  10. Operate budgeting and reporting software.
  11. Share with other Senior Managers, the responsibilities of the credit union in absence of President/CEO.
  12. Attend board meetings and present monthly reports on assigned areas of responsibility to board of directors and senior management.
  13. Display leadership skills and be a role model by modeling desired behavior skills needed to motivate high performance team.
  14. Establish internal controls and ensure that all employees understand the importance of complying with internal control objectives.
  15. Serve as the credit union’s liaison with regulatory agency examiners and auditors, and the Supervisory Committee auditor.
  16. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Accounting or Finance and an equivalent level of knowledge such as would be gained with five to ten years of experience in a credit union or similar financial institution.
  2. Sufficient knowledge of accounting functions and principles as required to effectively prepare, analyze, interpret and explain financial trends, budgets and reports.
  3. Organizational, analytical, public relations and project management skills; ability to coordinate a variety of projects.
  4. Knowledge of credit union products and services and applicable regulations.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and general use of computers.
  6. Experience using ProfitStars software.
  7. Advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  8. Advanced management and supervisory skills.
  9. Ability to effectively supervise the Accounting Manager and other employees staffing the Accounting Department.
