We have been notified by VISA USA that a merchant has had a network intrusion that may put VISA account numbers at risk. Due to the amount of information that may have been included in the compromise, Members 1st Credit Union does not see an immediate threat, therefore those cards will remain unblocked and active. To take necessary steps to prevent fraud, we will be sending letters out to all members whose debit or credit numbers were possibly compromised. It is very important that you monitor your account closely for any fraudulent activity that may occur. If you wish to have your card number blocked, please feel free to contact a Member Service Representative at 222-6060 or 800-303-3838 and your card will be re-issued fee of charge. Members have no liability in instances of fraudulent card use.
If you have not received a letter and are concerned that your card may have been compromised, you are also welcome to speak with a Member Service Representative at 530-222-6060.
If you have set up automatic payments on your card and are having your card blocked, please contact those merchants with your new card information when you receive your new card. Please note that PIN numbers will not carry over to new card numbers and you may see a Members Service Representative to have a personalized PIN number programmed on your new card.
Members 1st apologizes for any inconvenience.
